Since 1972, I have studied the techniques of the
European and American master craftsmen. The work shops of Carl Faberge
were of particular interest to me.
I now offer a class in
these techniques. I think the novice and professional will find this class
appealing.SEE

| Guilloche
enamel reached its zenith in the time of Carl Faberge'. This
class was created
to introduce the student to the art of engine turning
(guilloche) and enameling. This is
the method of engraving wavy patterns which radiate beneath thin layers of
translucent enamel. This technique is achieved by use of
a device known as a guilloche machine or engine turning
machine and in this way only. It was mainly used on most
precious objects
which made Peter Carl Faberge' whose work is well known. I
use the same types of machines and techniques which were
employed in the workshops of Faberge' and his
contemporaries. I also use only vitreous (glass) enamel
fused at 1380 f.
